Risk/reward par 5 hole #1. Keep your tee shot down the fairway to earn a shot at the green in two.Hole #2, a par 4, features a split fairway and two lurking fairway bunkers to catch your tee shot.Par 3, #3 demands a long carry over a hazard, to a largely horizontal green. Carve a fade around the corner of the tree line on par 4 #4 to set yourself up for the best approach.Another par 4, dial your approach shot distance in on #5 to clear Pioneer Creek and drop your shot on the green.Make sure you have enough off the tee to carry the water hazard on # 6, a rolling par 4.Be careful on your approach shot on # 7, a shorter par 4. O.B. lurks deep and left.Catch your breath, here on # 8, with a straight-forward par 3.The par 5, #9, is popularly though of as the toughest hole on the course. Beware of pond off the tee and the creek on your approach.
Your approach shot on this par 4 start to the back nine is key. #10 green is surrounded by peril.Par 4 hole #11 is a classic "target golf" hole. Hybrid off the tee, perhaps?#12 looks innocent enough, as a shorter par 4. But don't be fooled. It plays tighter than it looks.You'll need to fly your tee shot all the way to the green on the long par 3, #13. #14 is a long par 5. It's a Herculean effort to get there in two. Good luck!Rip it down the wide fairway on the par 4, #15, and leave yourself a tidy, short approach to a big green.Feeling lucky? Try to reach the shorter par 4, #16 green in one, and putt for eagle.The final par 3 on the course, #17 requires accuracy, particularly if the pin is tucked on the upper tier.One last opportunity for PIoneer Creek to taunt you, this par 5 finishing hole, #18, requires two great shots to reach it.
